Mini Vacay to Lake Michigan

I enjoyed a much overdue vacay with my college girlfriends last weekend in Palasades Park, Michigan.  It had been years since I have been able to hang out with all of them due to living in Florida.  It didn't feel like 10 years had passed since all living together - same stupid jokes, same laughs.  Thanks to Steph inviting everyone to her family cottage it was the perfect place to catch up.  Even though the beach was only a 2 minute walk we spent probably 10 hours each day there between laying out in the sun and sitting by the campfire at night.

I'm pretty sure I would love to have a country home, lake home, or beach home...or all of the above. :)

A view from the back sun porch...pretty amazing

I still can't believe this is a "lake".

The beach we spent all our time at.

Brandywine Creek (I can't get over what a great name that is), which led into the lake.

Hmmm, think I'll head to Shorewood Dr.

I love a good American flag picture.  Even more I love an American flag in front of a white house on a gravel road across from a beach.  Sign me up.

Sunset on a beach strewn with canoes, rafts, and beach chairs.  I adore private beaches for the trust everyone has in their neighbor.

Leslie, Rachel, Darcy, me, and Steph

One last good-bye shot.  Do I really have to leave??
