Glam Cam: Supermodel Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell, the supermodel many people love to hate.  I, on the other hand, is what Carrie Bradshaw would call a modelizer, only in a non-sexual sort of way.  I just love 'em.  Of course this is coming from just seeing them in gorgeous magazine spreads, dating rock stars and hot athletes (Tom Brady-love you), and rushing through international airports on their way to their next amazing shoot modeling swimsuits in Rio de Janeiro.  I don't know the side of models of waiting 2 hours for them to show up to a shoot, having phones through at me, or dealing with their high maintenance holier than thou attitudes.

I would love to see more models gracing magazine covers instead of celebrities.  I don't know why or exactly when this changed, but give the job back to those trained to show off designer's clothes on runways and editorial layouts and let actresses stick what they are best at, acting.

Naomi, 41, is getting asked to do jobs she did 20 years ago.  How's that for longevity in a model's career?  Her body and face look absolutely stunning especially considering all the hard partying she did through several years of her career.  However, she has overcome drug addictions and anger management issues and now signs all e-mails "Love &  Light, Naomi".  She arrived in complete supermodel style for her Harper's Bazaar photo shoot: 2 hours late draped in mink.  She then scoured the apparel racks to approve what she would be wearing, not the stylist. And apparently unheard of in today's modeling world she didn't even glance at the monitor between takes.  She's that good.

Glam Cam: Rooney Mara

Image via here

We watched The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo over the weekend and I found it suspenseful, intriguing, and, at times, disturbing.  I highly recommend it though.  I had just finished the book about four days prior so I knew what to expect during certain scenes when I would look over at the husb's face and see his eyes wide open and then he'd whisper, "Did this happen in the book??"

Rooney Mara's look has been so polished lately I want to see more and more.  She looks like an updated Audrey Hepburn with those blunt, short bangs.  They work lovely on her feminine face and especially well when she wears bright red lipstick.

In Sweden at the movie premiere. Image

She wears a lot of black, huh?  She must be going through "that" phase of feeling dark and reclusive.

This is how she looked before the Dragon Tattoo transformation...pretty major, don't ya think??  So sweet and angelic looking.

Emmy Red Carpet Rundown

I was camped out in front of the TV from 5:30 to midnight; from arrival to the credits.  The leading comedian ladies had me rolling.  I loved how they stood on stage together and even better that Melissa McCarthy was crowned Queen!  That was probably my favorite moment of the night.  I mean who wouldn't want to be crowned by Rob Lowe??
Melissa McCarthy

So obviously red was the color of the evening.  There were a decent mix of metallic gowns and
bold color dresses too.  I guess I was just in the mood for beautifully constructed gowns that don't show gobs of cleavage, which fit the bill for my top 3 choices:

Va-va-voom from Sophia, but not in an overtly sexual-sort-of-way, which she's been known to do.
Sofia Vergara

Maria just has a great body.  Sculpted, toned, not too thin.  I'm digging the slightly wavy hair.
Maria Bello
Lea's hot and she knows it.  This is the only person Marchesa dressed last night so apparently they know it too.
Lea Michele
These were also winners for me:

Kate Winslet
Nina Dobrev

Christine's dress is age appropriate AND sexy.  Kelly just keeps getting it right showing off her hourglass figure.
Christine Baranski
Kelly Osbourne
Hot, hot, hot.

Kat Deely

Jennifer Carpenter

Cutest couple award goes to Emily & Jon.  They always look happy & in love and I just imagine laughing all the time around them.
Emily Blunt & Jon Krasinski
I don't understand how Christian Siriano could make something this beautiful
Sarah Hyland

...and then create this overdone flamenco dress???
Heidi Klum

Gwyneth did nothing for me.  I did not like this at all.
Gwyneth Paltrow
That's a wrap for me!

Fashionista Friday - It's Red Carpet Season!

...or Awards Season as some would say.  However, I prefer Red Carpet, because that is what I most look forward to on award nights.  Sunday is the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards and I've reserved the TV from my husband from 7 p.m. to midnight.  I set up the perfect spread of snacks, wine, and desserts for these special nights.  I don't care if it's dorky, I've been doing it since high school and enjoy these evenings so damn much.

These were my highlights from last year:

Hands down, Clare Danes won the top spot for me.  Gorgeous dress, hair, tan, and smile.

Lea Michele came in a strong 2nd.  I love the mermaid fit and relaxed hair.  Doesn't hurt that she's cute as a button.

I know black is such an easy choice, but I thought there were a lot of great choices made among these women.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus chose the perfect earrings and she looks better than ever.

I just adore Kelly and thought her body was rockin'
Kelly Osbourne

Jennifer Carpenter

Paula Abdul

Eva Longoria
  What a sexy mama!
Brooke Burke

I think this is navy??  I hope so, because that makes me like it more.
Connie Britton

Kyra and Kevin are just an awesome couple.

 Another cute couple
Nail Patrick Harrie and David Burka

Classic...our Cary Grant
Jon Hamm

And she's so freakin' cute I had to include!
Betty White

Glam Cam: Kristen Stewart & Frances Bean Cobain

I can't get over how glamorous Kristen Stewart and Frances Bean Cobain look in these photo shoots.  If you saw a picture of me at 21 & 19 (respectively) you would tilt your head back and laugh with your mouth wide open.

I love FBC's rock & roll glam look, not an ounce of the grunge she was born from.

Those lips are too die for...

These pictures of Kristen don't even look like her!  I'm ready to see a more grown-up look on the red carpet out of her from now on.
