Met Costume Institute Gala Dresses & My Thoughts

Very fishy, but I like it.  Carey Mulligan always takes risks, which is cool in my book.

Dior on Marion Cotillard is hot.  Love the legs and simple/nonexistent jewelry.

Gotta love Marc Jacobs and his quirkiness.  Hate those pilgrim shoes though.

I guess Isabel Lucas is too cool to smile.  Along with designers Proenza Schouler.  She should lose the boots - it's May for cryin' out loud.

I don't know why I like white button-ups used as undergarments so much, but I do.  I dig Alexa Chung's Marc Jacobs outfit.

Karlie Kloss looks amaza-balls as usual.  Jason Wu should stand on the top step even though she would still probably tower him.

I think this dress is rad on Isabeli Fontana.  A little psychedelic, but still red carpet worthy.

This dress had potential to be banging on Eva Mendes, but the tailoring sucks.  The bodice is great, but the skirt needs to be fit much tighter to her body to make a peplum work.  Ultimately is just weighs her down instead.  Nice color though!

Cool dress, wrong shoes.  (Dree Hemingway)

Cool dress, wrong hair.  I just want to mess it up and this could be so right. (Doutzen Kroes)

Donatella works this dress so hard.  I'm a fan for sure.

Carolyn Murphy looks like she belongs in Florida.  Too bronze, too much boob, too processed of hair.

I die for this lace Burberry Prorsum on Jourdan Dunn.  BEAUTIFUL!

Is this Calvin Klein dress supposed to look backwards on Hanneli Mustaparta?  If so, then props to the designer.  Has me all turned around.

I like Mary Kate's look even if it does look like she just walked out of a closet after 5 years, got spray tanned, and came to the Met.  I just love the twins.

Love, love, love this look from Leslie Mann.  I adore edgy and feminine mixed together.

So happy to see some color on Kristen Wiig!!  Shoes are great, hair is good.  She should rehire this stylist.

Simple, but stunning. (Cameron Diaz in Stella McCartney)

Bring it Christina Ricci!!  I love when people have fashion fun at this event AND look amazing.  Great body, simple hair a must.

Yikes! Even though I love me some SJP, I don't love a fancied up Laura Engels Wilder dress.  Sorry, Valentino.

Rihanna looks really good and NORMAL for a change.  I like it.  Thanks, Tom Ford.

Who let the stripper in? (Anja Rubik)

Love the color and the dress.  Could have picked a better shoe though. :(  (Ginnifer Goodwin)

Awesome Prada dress, too severe of makeup. (Amber Valletta)

Usually I don't like a January Jones dress, but this one I agree with...just should have left off the necklace.

I love when models take it all the way.  Kudos to Karolina Kurkova in Rachel Zoe.
