Retail Courtesy via Fashionista.com

I really enjoyed this Anonymous Retail Rant article on Fashionista.com and wanted to share it with you all if you haven't read it yet.

I was always one to work in retail over the restaurant life as a teenager and in my younger 20's so can feel the pain of this anonymous author.  She, however, gets to work around much more fashionable items than I ever did and with the occasional celebrity, which never, ever happened in Kansas.  The frustrations though can be felt all throughout retailers, from specialty boutiques to large department stores and I think we owe a little decency to those sales associates cleaning up after us shoppers probably earning $10 or less/hour.

My mom always made us return all unpurchased clothing items to the racks before leaving the dressing area so I'm pretty good at leaving a clean room behind.  I don't always return my clothes to racks these days, but I do leave them hanging on original hangers or take them to the register or dressing room attendant as I exit.  As for the females who leave feminine products in the dressing, WTH???

Great article! I always try to be on the side of being a 'pleasant customer'. You only get respect when you respect others. xoxo
