I went to a fantastic wedding last Saturday celebrating Pardis and Alush. The venue was a super cool space in downtown St. Petersburg. Luckily, she had all festivities (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception) planned in this one location since the rain really could have made the evening much more difficult if everyone was shuttling around to different spots. NOVA 535 is a loft-style building with exposed brick interiors - very cool.
I caved and splurged on a Nicole Miller dress for this event. I first saw Sheridan from The Southern Eclectic blog wear it and her description and pictures pretty much had me driving to A Pea in the Pod that week to try it on and subsequently buying it. I got a super great deal though with a $75 off coupon plus a gift card I had to the store. That definitely helped lighted the load. For any pregnant girls out there, this dress is killer. It fits like a glove and hugs in all the right places.
NOVA is an art gallery that rents the space for events and weddings.
Pardis and Alush said their vows in front of four paintings and someone from the wedding purchased one of the pieces for them so they will always have a painting from their wedding day to hang in their home. Such a great idea and gift! (If only I could have obtained a Matisse from the collection being shown at the Tampa Museum of Art when we were married there, ha!). I missed getting a picture of all four paintings together, but you get the idea.
