This is the PANTONE 2012 Color of the Year. Vibrant, energizing, sophisticated -- this color can be worn as a complete outfit, accessorized with, or even as a hair color. Spotted throughout the home with throw pillows, vases, or artwork is also a wonderful way to integrate this color into your everyday life. I have always been an orange fan. I just painted my dressing room a light shade of orange. My patio tables are orange. I even wore a homecoming dress that was orange. So it has been a fav for a looooong time. :)
Pantone picks a color of the year every year since they believe they are the Holy Grail of colors, and well, they pretty much are. Their website is quoted as saying, "Tangerine Tango, a spirited reddish orange, continues to provide the energy boost we need to recharge and move forward."

I love this shade mixed with pink or red! So bright and happy.
I was so glad they picked this colour as their Colour of the Year! I think we could all do with a bit of cheer and festivity in 2012!
