Fashionista Friday: Beach Wedding Flats

Wedding Beach Flats

Beach Wedding Flats II

Wedding Beach Flats III

A good friend getting married this summer in Mexico asked me to round up a few ideas for her to wear with her wedding gown.  I don't know if she wants sandals, slippers, sparkles, or simple so thought I would try to get a full spectrum for her to preview.  Maybe once she's narrowed down the choice a little I could do another post once the big day is closer.  She mentioned that she would entertain the idea of wearing Alexander McQueen since that is one of her favorites, Kate Middleton, favorite designer.  Unfortunately, I could only locate one pair of white flats that would be beach appropriate, but maybe the brand will release more summer-style flats in the spring.

I really love both #11 and #12.  The Emanuela Caruso sandals are gorgeous at $370 (click on the link below and see how they look on the model's foot for verification).  Of course, the Swarovski crystal-embellished Rene Caovilla sandals are a little more steep at $1,075, but aren't they fabulous??  I love some pizazz peeking out under a long white gown.

Shoes That Make Me Smile: Nicholas Kirkwood

Nicholas Kirkwood is a genius.  His mix of fantasy and form is unreal.  The creativity and imagination he uses to design his shoes amaze me and I want to get my hands on a pair.  I have a few designer pairs of shoes, but a creation of his will be next on my list when I fall into some extra cash.

How cute is the Ponytail Shoe??  Influenced by Midnight in Paris (which I have mentioned before that I love that movie) and hair color to match Florence Welch (whom I'm also a big fan of) this shoe just kills me.
More fabulous insanity from the Spring/Summer 2012 line.

Shoes I'm Coveting

Shoes I'm Coveting

I'm needing (er, wanting) a pair of clunky brown heels.  Clunky is good right now with my added extra weight for some more supportive walking.  Plus, I'm wearing a couple form-fitting dresses coming up and I think a clunkier shoe would look better with a tight dress.  Those Michael Kors shoes at the very top are calling out to me!  I just wanted to try to find some for $100 or less.  However, the reviewers on Nordstrom's site all rave about the comfort of this shoe so that makes me want to buy it even more.

I've always been wanting to try some oxford flats for about a year and haven't bought any.  These may be easy to get around in once I'm carrying a baby carrier and diaper bag, but still look chic and put together.  Love the moccasins!!! I have black, but those faux-snake ones are a-dor-a-ble (Giulianna-style).

Also, just love the style of the bottom shoe in both colors.

Summer Wedges - Works for the city or country girl

Some summer wedges I'm loving and still a great shoe to sport the next couple months.  I'm DYING for those Missoni espadrilles...if only I had that spare change laying around.
